Band of Brothers

As men, I believe we live to be the hero. We are hardwired that way. Every hero slays the dragon. Some days the dragon wins. When the dragon wins, there is no one to pick us up. There is no one to treat our bruised egos, and wounded hearts. We seek solace in a bottle, in smoke, or in the bed often times, not our own. It is then when the dragons poison catches us a second time, and separates us further from the Light. And there are some that suffer in silence. These have learned to trust few and wonder if they are the only ones out there like this?

You are not alone. I am one of you. I am seeking to grow a small group of men that I can count on when I need encouragement, help or backup against the dragon. I would like some brothers I could count on for a number of things and return the favor.

On Saturday morning, August 30, 2008, if you are not doing anything special at 0800am, meet me at the iHop on Central Avenue, near The Sanctuary in the Kingdom Square in Capitol Heights, MD. And that is a church that is in an old Ames department store building near the old Hampton Mall.
